Stock ESP-Miner is great open-source software. The team that built it created something genuinely solid — a reliable, clean firmware for the Bitaxe that gets your miner online and stays out of the way. It works. Switching themes requires no reflashing and no reboots. Open your miner's web UI, go to Settings, pick a theme, and it applies instantly. You can swap between all 12 as often as you like.

Sometimes you need to temporarily stop mining without physically shutting the device down. You might be in a hot room in summer and want to kill heat during peak afternoon hours. You might be running scheduled downtime to avoid high electricity rate windows. You might just want to silence the fan while you're on a call. Stock ESP-Miner has no pause feature — your only option is a full power cycle.

LottoAxe OS adds a one-click software pause directly in the dashboard. When paused, the ASIC stops hashing but the device stays on, connected, and ready to resume immediately. Critically, LottoAxe keeps the fan running at a configurable speed during the pause. Even a stopped ASIC holds residual heat, and cutting the fan entirely during a pause can let temperatures spike unexpectedly. You set the pause fan speed in Settings once — it applies automatically every time you pause from that point forward.
